(NEW) PART 2 OF THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE SERIES

⚠️ Please ensure you read below, thank you.

Have you ever known that you were becoming anxious, angry, defensive or overwhelmed — and still found yourself reacting in a way you later wished you had handled differently?

Perhaps you send the message even though part of you knows you should wait. You become defensive before you have really heard what the other person is saying. You withdraw when things feel too intense. Or you only realise how activated you were once the moment has already passed.

Understanding your emotions is important. But knowing what you are feeling does not always mean you can change what happens next.

In this free 60-minute psychoeducational webinar, we will explore emotional regulation, triggers and what can happen when emotions intensify in relationships. You will learn to recognise some of the signs of emotional activation, understand the difference between an emotional urge and a reaction, and begin noticing where greater choice may become possible.

This is Part 2 of the Emotional Intelligence series and builds on the self-awareness explored in Part 1 by asking a different question:

What happens when I understand what I am feeling — but still struggle to respond the way I want to?

👉🏽 This webinar may be helpful if you...

  • understand your patterns but still struggle to change how you react
  • become anxious, defensive, angry or overwhelmed in relationships
  • tend to overthink, pursue, withdraw or shut down when triggered
  • find it difficult to pause once emotions become intense
  • often understand what happened only after the interaction is over

👉🏽 We'll be exploring:

  • What emotional regulation really means — and why it is different from suppression
  • How triggers can lead to activation, urges and automatic reactions
  • How emotional activation can affect your thoughts, body and behaviour
  • Why knowing what to do does not always make it easier to do in the moment
  • How greater awareness can create more space between feeling and reacting
  • How repeated reactions can affect communication, trust and connection
