(NEW) PART 3 OF THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE SERIES

⚠️ Please ensure you read below, thank you.

Have you ever gone into a conversation wanting to communicate well — only to find yourself becoming defensive, shutting down, overexplaining, arguing your point or feeling completely misunderstood?

Perhaps you and the other person remember the same interaction differently. You feel unheard while they feel criticised. You are trying to resolve something while they experience pressure. Or what begins as a small disagreement quickly becomes about something much bigger.

Emotional intelligence is not only about understanding and managing our own emotions. It also shapes how we listen, communicate, handle differences and reconnect when things go wrong.

In this 60-minute psycho-educational webinar, we will explore how emotional intelligence operates between two people — particularly during communication, disagreement and conflict. We will look at empathy, perspective-taking, assumptions, emotional responsiveness and repair, and why healthy relationships do not require two people to experience the same situation in exactly the same way.

This is Part 3 of the Emotional Intelligence and brings together the self-awareness and emotional regulation explored in Parts 1 and 2 by asking:

How do we stay connected to ourselves while making room for someone else’s emotional experience?

👉🏽 We'll be exploring:

  • How emotional intelligence influences communication, conflict and connection
  • Why two people can experience the same interaction very differently
  • The difference between empathy, validation and agreement
  • How assumptions and defensiveness can change a conversation
  • Why listening becomes harder when emotions are activated
  • Why repair matters when communication or connection breaks down

👉🏽 This webinar may be helpful if you...

  • often feel misunderstood or unheard in relationships
  • become defensive, withdrawn or reactive during difficult conversations
  • struggle to understand another person’s perspective when you disagree
  • find conflict quickly turns into blame, proving or shutting down
  • want healthier communication without abandoning your own needs
  • want to better understand empathy, emotional responsiveness and repair

You do not need to have attended Parts 1 or 2, although joining the full series will give you a more complete understanding of how emotional intelligence influences relationships.
