Mission of the Rhine: The Rhine Research Center explores the frontiers of consciousness and exceptional human experiences in the context of unusual and unexplained phenomena. The Rhine’s mission is to advance the science of parapsychology, to provide education and resources for the public, and to foster a community for individuals with personal and professional interest in psi.*
*Psi is defined as anomalous processes of information or energy transfer, such as telepathy or psychokinesis, that are currently unexplained in terms of known physical or biological mechanisms.

The three pillars of the Rhine are Research, Education, and Community. The Rhine is the premier research center for parapsychology in the country, provides events and an online school for students of parapsychology, and an active community of volunteers and members who have their own experiences are or interested in psi phenomena.

Dreams Study Group (Monthly)
·OnlineOnlineJoin us online through the Rhine Research Center's website.
Share a dream with us and we will help you to understand it, and eventually learn how to interpret your own dreams.
Before you share your dream by reading it aloud:
- Have it entirely written out in present tense.
- Include only the content of the dream itself, relating the dream exactly as it unfolded, without afterthoughts, comments, or impressions, unless they occurred during the dream.
- Include any emotion you had upon awakening, typically some version of mad, sad, glad, angry, or confused.
- Give your dream a title.
Why and How this works: Dreams are a gift from the subconscious mind conveying important messages to the dreamer through symbols and emotions. As you slowly read your dream aloud, we will experience is as if it were our own. Our experiences almost always provide deeper insights into both what the dream wants and, most importantly, guidance on how the dreamer can honor by responding to the dream.
$10 covers admission to all The Rhine's monthly online events for 30 days: Psychic Experiences Group (1st Tuesdays), Remote Viewing class (3rd Wednesdays), the Dreams Study Group (3rd Mondays), and The Rhine Research Team science discussions (Every Wednesday). But wait! There's more!! If a monthly group happens to meet twice within 30 days, the second admission is free. What a bargain!
As a typical dream takes about 20 minutes to work, we typically cover five dreams per meeting. Dreams are selected according to their titles' appeal to the group. We cannot guarantee that every dream will be worked at any given meeting.

Paranthropology: A Cultural Approach to Psi with Loyd Auerbach
·OnlineOnlineHow do native cultures view psi phenomena?
How do culture-based beliefs and folklore around healing and psychokinesis differ between places like China, Mexico, and the Australian Outback? Why are seers and clairvoyants accepted in some cultures but shunned by others, modern culture included? How are culture-bound/religion-bound magic, witchcraft, and sorcery beliefs related to psychic abilities and experiences?
This 8-week academic course will be a high-level overview of the ideas and beliefs of psychic experiences, the human mind and spirit, and related areas (life after death, reincarnation, etc.) as those beliefs have been “seen” by anthropologists and parapsychologists around the world. During this eight-week course (Mondays May 4-June 29, 8-10 pm (no class on May 25)) we will look at the possible instances of psi phenomena best reported in studies of divination, witchcraft and sorcery beliefs and practices, various cross-cultural studies, modern beliefs in the occult and supernatural, and the application of psychic functioning in archaeology and anthropology. From the parapsychological side, we will examine the ways culture affects belief, which in turn affects the psychic experience.Follow this link to view the syllabus and register for the course. Eight Important Studies in Parapsychology with John G. Kruth, MS
·OnlineOnlineThis 8 week academic course will explore different scientific studies in parapsychology each week. Each week, the studies will be reviewed in class, and students will be asked to discuss specific topics in the courseroom to help provide additional insight into the study.
Studies will include Zener card research done at the Duke Parapsychology Lab, the Ganzfeld technique, Remote Viewing, micro-PK experiments from the PEAR Lab, healing, poltergeists, and others. The special issues related to research in parapsychology will be included in this course, and students will have an opportunity to discuss these issues and creatively provide ways to address these issues.
It is strongly recommended that students taking this course have a background in Research Methods or have taken a course in Research Methods for parapsychology.Follow this link to view the Syllabus and to Register for the course. (The Zoom Meeting link will be provided after registration.)

Additional topics related to the survival of consciousness, including apparitions and hauntings, will also be explored.
Besides a discussion of the description of the phenomena and the evidence supporting the survival hypothesis, the course will also discuss qualitative investigations and laboratory studies into the effects of these experiences on individuals, and counselling efforts that have been used to help people with these experiences.Follow this link to the Syllabus and to Register for the course.
