Queens Warriors

MacDonald Park

Join the Queens Warriors every Tuesday for a free early morning workout filled with extra servings of muscle building action! Body weight exercises, sprints, high fives, and words of encouragement are all guaranteed. Coffee and classy conversation immediately following the sweat/smile fest. Wake up. Workout. Done. Oh, and remember The Three Rules (1) Anyone can do this. (2) Everyone is welcome. (3) We will have fun.

Start your Tuesday off right with an awesome free workout from The Rise NYC! 30 minutes of body weight, cardio, encouragement, and high fives that's sure to put a smile on your face. All levels are welcome. Just come out and give it your maximum effort! We typically do three 7-9 minute circuits. Sometimes there are themes and every time they will make you sweat! Getting up and showing up is the hardest part. Once you're there, you'll wonder why you don't come every week! So come out and watch the sun rise over Grand Army Plaza, get your sweat on, and meet some great people! Oh, and remember The Three Rules (1) Anyone can do this. (2) Everyone is welcome. (3) We will have fun.

Rise Pushup Challenge!

For the entire month of September, we at The Rise are doing as many pushups as we can! The instructions for the challenge, along with a submissions form and leaderboard, can be found here: https://www.therisenyc.org/challenge/pushups-2019/ The schedule is simple: September 1st: Max Test #1. Do as many consecutive pushups as you can in one sitting. September 2nd - 29th: Do as many pushups as you can each day, but spread them out however you'd like. September 30th: Max Test #2. Do as many consecutive pushups as you can in one sitting. Try to beat your score on Max Test #1. Take on the challenge. Elevate yourself - as many times as you can. RISE UP!

Core Body Boot Camp

We do boot camp style exercises, so think pushups, situps, planks, squats, burpees, etc. And there's a lot of high fives, smiles, and laughing involved, too... Not sure how to do burpees? Pike jumps? Dragon Pushups? That's fine! We'll teach you. This is an awesome way to rock your body and get fit fast. We welcome all fitness levels! Even if you have not worked out in years we want you to join us. Working out with fun, encouraging people in a group setting is better than trying to do this all on your own. EVERYBODY IS WELCOME!
