Hills: The Iconic Brooklyn Bridge!

Brooklyn Bridge

For the month of July, we'll be doing our hill workouts at the iconic Brooklyn Bridge! We'll meet by the benches at the start of the pedestrian path (Manhattan side!) Sprints? Anything Goes? Race to Brooklyn? Day of Reckoning? Who knows what we'll do! Workouts will be decided the day of (depending on rain - as the wood can get a bit slippery!) No matter what the forecast is, the usual rules apply: 1) Anyone can do this. 2) Everyone is welcome. 3) We will have fun! RISE UP!

HIIT Workout

Washington Square Park

This one workout will keep you amped up all week long. Seriously, give it a try and you will be hooked! The exercises may change from week to week, but it is always a Tabata-style interval workout: 20 seconds of high intensity work followed by 10 seconds of rest. Then repeat! Exercises include sprints, burpees, squats, situps, box jumps, step ups, pushups, dips, and other “no-frills” exercises. Warm up beforehand by running, biking, or walking. We start promptly at 6:30 AM and the workout only lasts 31 minutes. Show up a few minutes early to meet people and get yourself pumped up.

Start your Tuesday off right with an awesome free workout from The Rise NYC! 30 minutes of body weight, cardio, encouragement, and high fives that's sure to put a smile on your face. All levels are welcome. Just come out and give it your maximum effort! We typically do three 7-9 minute circuits. Sometimes there are themes and every time they will make you sweat! Getting up and showing up is the hardest part. Once you're there, you'll wonder why you don't come every week! So come out and watch the sun rise over Grand Army Plaza, get your sweat on, and meet some great people! Oh, and remember The Three Rules (1) Anyone can do this. (2) Everyone is welcome. (3) We will have fun.

Queens Warriors

Join the Queens Warriors every Tuesday for a free early morning workout filled with extra servings of muscle building action! Body weight exercises, sprints, high fives, and words of encouragement are all guaranteed. Coffee and classy conversation immediately following the sweat/smile fest. Wake up. Workout. Done. Oh, and remember The Three Rules (1) Anyone can do this. (2) Everyone is welcome. (3) We will have fun.
