Social Ballroom Dance (with free lesson) hosted by USA Dance

Our USA Dance chapter, Flower City Ballroom, will host our next social dance on Friday, July 10th (TODAY).

Join us for a free beginner-friendly American Tango lesson at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:45 pm. There will be open dancing after the lesson until 10:00 pm. Enjoy dancing to DJ’d ballroom and Latin music. Have fun, get some exercise, learn some new moves, and meet new friends. Singles and couples of all skill levels are welcome.

The dance will be at the Lilac Dance Center, 2199 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14623. The large and beautiful ballroom is on the ground floor with a wonderful wooden dance floor.

See you all in your best mood; bring a friend.

Admission $15, members $10, students $5

Our dances are planned for the second Friday of each month for the rest of the year.

Beginner Cha Cha! (6 classes) Starting July 13th!

Beginner Cha Cha. 6 Classes on Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm, July 13th through August 17th. Have you heard Bruno Mars song Cha Cha Cha or I Just Might? Or Havana with Camila Cabella? If you like those songs, then you need some Cha Cha in your life! It's super fun and burns calories like crazy!

Singles and couples are welcome. Rotating partners is optional. You don't even need to have a partner.

Classes are taught by Maureen Hickey, MoDancing LLC, as a session, not drop-in.

Intermediate Viennese Waltz! (6 classes) Starting July 13th!

Intermediate Viennese Waltz, 6 classes on Mondays from 7:30 - 8:30 pm, July 13th through August 17th. This is my favorite dance because it makes me feel like royalty. When you and your partner are flying around the room to gorgeous music you will feel like you are actually in Vienna.

Dancers should have taken the Beginner Viennese Waltz classes and discussed the intermediate level with Maureen Hickey or have been dancing Foxtrot & Slow Waltz for one year before signing up for this class.

Singles and couples are welcome. Rotating partners is optional. You don't need to have a partner. Classes are taught by Maureen Hickey, professional ballroom dance instructor, as a session, not drop-in.
