We are excited to announce our ๐๐ค๐๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ฎ ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ก๐๐จ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฅ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐จ! We both love working with women and helping you make regular movement a habit in your life. As we age, our joints get stiffer and injuries are more likely to happen. We both know there are ways to avoid this though. This is why we created these workshops! Carolyn will lead each workshop with a mobility session and then we will transition to a walking/running technique session with me.
In each Mobility To Miles session, I will guide you through simple, mindful ChiWalking/ChiRunning principles that help walking and running feel easier, more natural, and supportive of your body.
Youโll learn how alignment and relaxation, and body sensing can reduce strain and impact. This makes it all so much easier and will bring more joy to your walks or runs. Youโll have time to practice these skills during the session so you can feel the difference for yourself. Youโll walk away with 2-3 clear focuses you can use on every walk (or run).
In Carolynโs section of each workshop, we will be learning different mobility exercises to improve our walking and running. Mobility just means being able to move with more strength and control through a greater range of motion while youโre working, as opposed to stretching while youโre lying there. These drills will help us get loose for a walk or run, improve strength and range of motion in our muscles to help us walk and run better overall while reducing the chances of getting injured while weโre out there. We will learn foot, ankle, knee, hip, spine and shoulder drills. Mobility drills are about having more tools to choose from your toolbox. So while the drills will vary from session to session they wonโt build off of one another so each mobility lesson will stand alone but if you attend all three sessions youโll simply have more tools in your toolbox.
We will focus on a different theme in each workshop. They will all be held from 4-530pm:
