Dev Container Basics for more predictable environments

Have you wondered what a container or docker is? Have you struggled to get projects just running on your computer so you can get to the fun building part? Or had your app stop running and found yourself fumbling for what change made the whole jenga tower fall apart?Why not instead struggle with Containerization!

This presentation will be aimed at all web devs, you won’t be required to be a dev ops expert.We’ll go over the basics of containers. How to get started using Docker and VS Code Dev Containers plugin. Then jumping into examples of how to leverage containers to make your dev workflow more portable and predictable. Examples will include utilizing a Virtual Private Server or spare computer to be your dev container host too.
