When building a new API using NodeJS you can go the a-la-carte route, piecing together an API using building block modules, or you can go with a framework that helps you get up and running quickly. In this talk I'll go over why I choose NestJS for a recent project and show how it can help you quickly get up and running with a new API using TypeScript, express, swagger, jest and other shiny new tools.

Food and liquid refreshments will be provided by our sponsors.

Free parking at The Cannery will be arranged courtesy of The Urban Hive. When entering, please see the docent at the front-desk to give them your license plate number.

If you would also like to sponsor or speak at one of our events, please contact us on GitHub, Twitter (@sac_js (https://twitter.com/sac_js)), #sacjs on the #SacTech Slack Team (http://sac-tech.herokuapp.com/), or Meetup.com.
