For the Ides of January (is that a thing?) we thought we should lean into a winter theme with a lesser known film that you may have missed with some fantastic snowy scenes, but no snow plow related injuries. Starring Jeremy Renner, Graham Greene and Elizabeth Olsen, all first timers for this club, Wind River (2017) is our second Taylor Sheridan script (we discussed Sicario back in August). Besides finding ourselves in the middle of winter, there are plenty of other reasons to get this one on the calendar including the recent release of season 2 of Landman (a Sheridan hit series) and the recent passing of actor Graham Greene which, to be clear, happened before this movie was selected so we're not taking the blame for the SLMC curse for that one.
Wind River (2017) is available to stream on Netflix and Fawesome and is available to rent on most VOD platforms.
