When a new Yorgos movie comes out it's always an event. A couple of years ago we discussed Poor Things post-Oscars and this year we're following suit with Lanthimos' most recent offering, Bugonia (2025).
This one joins the ranks of Poor Things and The Favourite as his adaptations and his three films that by far garnered the most Oscar nominations, a combined 15! Bugonia is a remake of a 2003 South Korean film called Save the Green Planet! I recommend watching if you can but it's a bit hard to find these days and Bugonia is the better film anyway
