Three years in, here at the Losers, we are definitely overdue a Terrence Malick movie. Badlands (1973), his first, is also my favorite. This is the film that introduced the distinctive voice of Terrence Malick to the cinema world. Badlands (1973) is a movie that transformed the true crime story into a haunting meditation on innocence, violence, and the American landscape. It also introduced me to Sissy Spacek and Martin Sheen.
If you have not already, this is definitely one that should be on everyone's seen it list.
There's a lot to discuss.
