Using the Garden to Teach

Details

Whether using the garden as a living laboratory, an outdoor workshop, or a place to study food systems and nutrition, the garden is the ultimate teaching tool to facilitate hands-on, integrated learning! This class will model how you can effortlessly integrate the garden into your curriculum, no matter the subject. Attendees will leave with ideas for connecting the curriculum to the garden. In addition, a variety of outdoor classroom management tips and tricks will be shared so that you can bring your students outside with confidence.

This class will be located at the Bell Community Garden (3871 Bell Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63108) in their pavilion. There is free street parking all along Bell Avenue.
