What we’re about
The San Diego Archery House Meetup Group is open to anyone interested in the sport of archery! This class goes over the basics to Traditional/Olympic recurve archery. Classes are taught by Tara, a Nationally Certified Archery Coach, 3X National Champion and former athlete of the US Olympic Training Center. Tara started shooting in 1991, began teaching in 2004 and launched this meet-up group in 2009.
This meetup is great for people new to the sport and even those with some archery experience. We host beginner and Intermediate classes. We have classes geared to both youth and adults. Throughout the year, we offer one-day options and on-going weekly classes. We cover range safety, proper equipment selection, and basics to shooting. All equipment is provided, but students are welcome to bring their own!
This group is a great way to meet other locals with the same interests. We shoot outdoors and know how to have a good time while learning a new skill!

This class is great for those who have never shot a bow before and also great for those who want to touch up on the basics to the sport! Ages 10 to adult. All equipment is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own! We will end the class with a fun game! Cost is $25/person.

- Open Shoot Practice Class (w/ $5 equipment rental option)Morley Field , San Diego, CA$20.00
Join the Open Practice class with Coach Tara from 1:00pm - 2:30pm! This is an open practice class for archers who have taken a 5-week class or attended at least (1-2) Beginner One-Day classes. In this class, archers should know range safety, whistle system, and basics to picking out equipment and shooting. Coach Tara will go over different aspects of form but will use the class mostly as a time to practice with others. Coach Tara will be there to run the whistles and can watch anyone who would like additional coaching. Archers can move targets to any distance to practice. Cost for class is $20 if you have your own equipment. Equipment will be available for additional $5 fee to be paid in cash at class or added into your fee.
