Four-Part A Cappella Women's Barbershop
The San Diego Chorus is an a cappella show chorus of women singing 4-part harmony in the barbershop style. We are committed to both local entertainment and international competition. Dedicated to musical excellence and education, the San Diego Chorus holds a multitude of regional championship titles. In the spring of 2014, the San Diego Chorus joined the regional 700 Club by scoring 708 points. Led by Master Director Kathleen Hansen, each rehearsal is a lesson in vocal and performance skills. Along with musical development, the San Diego Chorus offers creative opportunities in areas like choreography, costume design, and show production. Leadership opportunities are available for every member. Members travel from across southern California and from Arizona and Hawaii to participate.
The San Diego Chorus believes that every voice matters. We welcome singers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community and people from varied religions.
