For those of you in the semi-know, do you ever wonder what was it all about concerning structuralism and phenomenology and some such others, such that the philosophical rage these days (in certain circles) are post-structuralism, deconstructionism, criticalism, postmodernism? I am with you in this category of the semi-know.
Let's take a historical glance back at Continental movements in philosophy, the dominant philosophical movements in Europe (minus Great Britain), which started in the 19th century, that yield us structuralism and phenomenology in the early 20th century. Then let's find out why these philosophical movements have since morphed into what we see today.
