Join us for the second SFIoTMeetup event of 2014! We are lucky to have Ben Jacobs (@bencjacobs (https://twitter.com/Bencjacobs)) share insights with the community about their work at Whistle. Ben is the Co-Founder and CEO of Whistle (http://www.whistle.com), makers of a wearable monitor for dogs. Ben will share his insights in those aspects beyond product development: manufacturing, distribution and marketing.

Ben Jacobs is CEO and Co-Founder of Whistle (http://www.whistle.com/), a software and hardware company building products to help add healthy, happy years to pets’ lives. Ben co-founded Whistle as Entrepreneur in Residence at DCM Ventures, combining his personal love of animals with his academic and professional experience.
Prior to his tenure at DCM, he worked with clients in the pet and technology industries at Bain & Company. Ben holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Yale University with a focus on China, which culminated in research at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Lessons from Bain to Beijing influenced the founding of Whistle.
