What we’re about
The Sound and Energy Healing Meetup has been set up to provide a place for providers of related healing modalities to promote their meetings and gatherings; as well as providing a place for those individuals wanting to be notified, wanting to learn more and and wanting to participate in such gatherings.
There is a growing recognition of the importance of sound and vibration as the underlying energies in creation and therefore, when brought into balance, underlying our well being. The intention here is that folks participating in this Meetup will grow as a group and, over time, develop a powerful healing synergy for Santa Fe as we get to know and support each other.
Providers of sound and energy healing modalities in the greater Santa Fe area can request to become an Assistant Organizer. Once an Assistant Organizer you will be able to set up and schedule your own Meetups, be able to communicate with the members, and be able to access the many other services available on this site. You and those in your groups will be able to post photos of your work and gatherings, illicit comments and host discussions.
I welcome your ideas & support for the objectives of this site.
Blessings,
Nathaniel

See all- Different Drummers Drum CircleUnitarian Universalist Church of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, NM
As a reminder, our novice-friendly drum circles take place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at the Unitarian Church located at 107 Barcelona in Santa Fe. The sessions run from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. For those without drums, we usually have extra drums available for sharing.
DDDC is an open community drum circle. It is a freestyle drum circle in that it is neither 'facilitated' nor limited to any specific drum or drumming style.
Whether you are a seasoned drummer or a novice exploring the world of drumming, you are warmly welcomed to join us. The spirit of community and the joy of drumming are at the heart of our circle. We take pride in our inclusive atmosphere and are pleased to share that I, Rick Cormier, author of the book "Freestyle Community Drum Circles," have been hosting these community drum circles for free since the mid-90s.
All skill levels are welcome, and novices are encouraged. A 'drummer' is a novice who keeps showing up! :-) Dancers are also welcome to join us.
Children: Any child with a sense of rhythm and/or volume, a reasonable attention span, and the ability to be respectful of other drummers and their instruments will likely be an appropriate participant.
DDDC Drum circle participation is free.
10-minute lesson before we start: free
Drum loan: Free. (I own lots, and I share)What we once called "Being in the Here and Now," today, we call "mindfulness." When I drum, I turn off my head and let my body do the drumming. We all need an activity that lets us turn off our head, be it dancing, knitting, exercise, or whatever. We need a break from that incessant critical voice, or the voices of anxiety or depression. We also need to belong. Whether you join us twice per month or twice per year, you'll always be welcome.
