Welcome to The Second Bloom: Chicago Women 40+!
Making meaningful friendships as an adult isn’t always easy—especially as life changes and we find ourselves entering new chapters. But being over 40 doesn’t mean our best years are behind us. There is still so much to discover, experience, and enjoy.
The Second Bloom is a community for Chicago-area women 40+ who want to build genuine friendships, get out and experience the city, try new things, have interesting conversations, laugh, connect, and create a full and meaningful next chapter.
You don’t have to be single, divorced, an empty nester, new to Chicago, or going through some major reinvention to belong here. You just need to be open to meeting other women and building real community.
We'll keep things varied—coffee and brunch, walks around the city, museums and cultural events, dinners, live music, volunteering, interesting classes, outdoor activities, day trips, and sometimes simply getting together and talking.
This isn't a networking group, a dating group, or a place where you need to show up as some polished version of yourself. The goal is much simpler: to create the kind of community and friendships that can be surprisingly hard to find in this stage of life.
Come as you are. Bring your curiosity, your stories, and your willingness to meet someone new.
