What we’re about
Do you look at the world with a literary vision? When your walking through Shanghai, do you observe with metaphors or rhymes? Do you enjoy feeling the words of poets and artists run through you? This is a group for writing poetry, practicing spoken word, and seeking artistic inspiration from others. We host weekly poetry workshops, improving our writing and performance skills. If you would like improve your writing and performance, The International House of Poets (IHOP for short) is a great platform.
Performance poetry takes practice; it's not so easy to find your voice. But when you do, it's extremely rewarding! We started as just a small group, but now we have weekly opportunities to perform at the open mic at My Place, plus monthly slam events. Come join and see what we are all about!
