Bike Ride on the Huntington Beach and Newport Beach Bike Trails

Details

We'll gather at 9:15am and start riding promptly at 9:30am.

We'll bike along the Huntington Beach and Newport Balboa Bike Trails to the Wedge and then bike back. The Wedge is a spot located at the extreme southeast end of the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, known for its large waves.

The ride is mostly on dedicated bike paths, but a few segments are on quiet residential streets.

Check out the route https://ridewithgps.com/routes/41980662

On the way back, we'll stop at the Newport Beach Pier and have lunch, maybe at Rockin' Baja. https://rockinbaja.com/newport-beach/

It's about 32 miles round trip, 180 ft of gain.

Be sure to bring an extra inner tube that fits your tire, in case of a flat tire. Also water, snacks, sunscreen, additional clothing in case of change of weather.

We'll pass by the Huntington Beach dog beach, Huntington Beach Pier, the junction with the Santa Ana River Trail, and the Newport Beach Pier.

The starting location is on the border of Seal Beach and Sunset Beach.
