Let's join the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) for a nature walk at the Linden H. Chandler Preserve in Rolling Hills Estates.

This will be a relatively short hike of about 1.5 miles with about 300 ft. of elevation gain. The walk will be guided by trained docents at a slow pace with many stops to observe and describe the native flora, fauna, history, and geology of the area.

This Preserve has many acres of restored native habitat that includes the host plants for the Palos Verdes Blue, one of the rarest butterflies in the world. Enjoy the beauty of the restored habitat and the city views that are visible from the Preserve.

If you'd like to join the walk, in addition to rsvp'ing on this Meetup website, please RSVP on the PVPLC's website. Here is the link:

Upon arrival at the trail head, sign in at the Conservancy table. You will be directed to the area to wait for the next docent. Feel free to let the hosts at the table know that you would like to join a hike with some of your friends. After the nature walk, you may also want to join hiking friends to check out some of the other trails in the preserve.
