An ad-hoc community exploring the genealogy of ideas and values, stimulating intellectual dialogue, rhizomic linkages, and challenging perspectives through themed cultural and critical theory discussions.
Sunnyside Salon meets 1-2 times a month on early Saturday afternoons in Sunnyside, Queens, a 20-minute journey from Midtown Manhattan. Our meetings are dedicated to exploring scholarly articles, with each session focusing on a different piece to provoke thoughtful debate. The structure of these sessions may vary as we experiment with formats that stimulate engaging conversations. Meetings typically last for three hours, with refreshments provided. Afterwards there are a variety of bars of questionable reputation providing additional libation.
