Colorful Connections🌈: Ice Skating Fun in Bristol! ⛸️🧊

Planet Ice Bristol – Saturday 19th April 2026 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Everyone is welcome - whether you’re queer, straight, questioning, new in town, an ally, or just looking to have some fun time! ✨

We are so excited to bring the Colourful Connections energy to the ice! This is all about getting together, making new friends, and having a laugh in a space where everyone can just be themselves.

Whether you’re gliding like a pro or spending most of your time hugging the side rail, you’ll have us to skate with. Solo explorers or groups of friends, the more the merrier!

THE PLAN:
• 10:00 AM – 10:15 AM: The Meetup 🤝
We’ll meet at the main entrance of Planet Ice Bristol (Cribbs Causeway). This is the perfect time to meet the group, get through check‑in, and swap your shoes for skates before we hit the ice. We’ll be easy to spot — look for our friendly, colourful group at the entrance!

• 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM: We Skate! ⛸️🧊
We have plenty of time to lap the rink, help each other stay upright, enjoy the music, and have a laugh.

• 1:00 PM – Beyond: The Post-Skate Feast☕
After we’ve worked up an appetite, we’re heading straight to the coffee shop at the entrance of Planet Ice! It’s the perfect spot to warm up, grab a meal or a coffee, and have a proper chat while we defrost our toes.

• DATE: 19th April 2026
• TIME: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM session.
• COST: Adults £15.20 | Students £13.20 | Skate Hire £3.00 (select the "Skates Package" if you need them).

🚗 GETTING THERE:
Please plan your journey ahead of time — Planet Ice Bristol (Cribbs Causeway) isn’t near the city centre, so whether you’re coming by bus, car, or taxi, allow a little extra travel time to get to the rink for the 10:00 AM meetup.

Parking:
There is plenty of free parking on‑site.

Accessibility:
Planet Ice provides skate aids, accessible toilets, and seating areas. If you have any accessibility needs, feel free to message me beforehand so I can try to support you.

KEY DETAILS:
• WHAT TO BRING: Thick socks (crucial for comfort!), warm layers, and gloves to protect your hands! 🧤 The rink stays cold, so bring layers even if it’s warm outside!

• SAFETY: Falls happen! Bring knee pads or wrist guards if you’d feel more comfortable.

• ALLIES: You are 100% welcome! We believe in strength in numbers and showing up for each other. 🏳️‍🌈

• FIRST TIMERS: Don't be nervous! It’s all about having a laugh, not being an Olympic skater.

• RUNNING LATE?
If you arrive after 10:15 AM, don’t worry - head inside and look for our friendly group on the ice, or message me directly.
You can also post in the Colourful Connections WhatsApp group chat in the Super Socialisers community and we’ll guide you in.

• PHOTOS: We’ll only take group photos with consent — no pressure at all if you don't feel joining.

• VIBES: This is a supportive, judgement‑free space — kindness and good energy only. ✨

🤝 TRAVEL BUDDIES & LIFTS
If you’d like to buddy up for the journey, or you’re worried about getting to Cribbs Causeway alone, feel free to post in the Colourful Connections group chat in the Super Socialisers community.
There’s a good chance someone else is travelling from a similar area or may be able to offer a ride.
No one should feel like they can’t come just because it’s a bit far — we look out for each other. 💛🌈
