About us
FUF is an independent Swedish organisation bringing together students, professionals, and civil society actors around global development issues. We host seminars, panel discussions, and conversations on topics like international aid, human rights, climate, and Sweden's role in the world — all grounded in facts and open dialogue.
We organise events in both Swedish and English, and most of them are free and open to everyone. Some events are exclusive to our members.
Whether you're a student curious about global affairs or an expert wanting to exchange perspectives — you're welcome here.

Easing your anxiety about the state of the world: A yoga session
·OnlineOnlineToday's world asks a lot of people who care to stay informed and engaged. A 2023 report from the Public Health Agency highlights that many young people in Sweden feel a growing sense of powerlessness about the future. This feeling is especially tied to global challenges such as climate change and conflict, issues that can feel distant and difficult to influence as an individual.
This two-part seminar series aims to teach you tools and skills to use when the world's problems feel too heavy on your shoulders.
The second session will take place on 18 May, from 17:30 to 18:30, and focuses on yoga for anyone who wants to show up for the world without burning out. Here, you will meet Maria Kalinga Ruin - a former FUF employee, yoga teacher, and 11-year practitioner drawing from yin, vinyasa, and stillness practices. Through a combination of talk and practice, you'll move through yin holds and flows while exploring how to stay resilient and present through the noise.
Everyone is welcome to join – no experience is needed. Come curious, come open, and come as you are! The event will be hosted on Teams. Since this seminar includes movement, bring comfortable clothes, and preferably a yoga mat!Signup with the link below:
