Join Randy for a partly shady and scenic hike along the Old San Pablo Trail and Reservoir in Orinda. We should encounter some early Trillium and newly emerging wildflowers on the route to the reservoir. This hike is limited to about 300ft elevation gain. It will be an out and back route along the San Pablo Dam Reservoir. The hike will begin at the Orinda Connector Staging Area, which is located at the intersection of Camino Pablo and Bear Creek Road. After turning right on Bear Creek Road, there are 5 parking spots immediately on the left at the trailhead. Additional parking is available to the right off of Bear Creek Road along Wagner Ranch Road (see attached photo.) Rest rooms are available at the half-way point lunch stop, but not at the trailhead. Our lunch stop will be at a picnic area overlooking the San Pablo Reservoir. No dogs are allowed on this hike. Poles may help if we encounter any mud.

Randy can be reached at 925-518-8439, in the event of any questions or coordination problems.
