Black Diamond Mines Regional Park [4+ miles]

Hi Sweeps. Summer heat is here, but for those not minding an earlier start time and a bit shorter hike, please join Randy in Black Diamond Regional Park for a scenic hike along the Stewartsville and Star Mine Trails. This hike is a little over 4 miles, with a gradual elevation gain of less than 600 feet. We will stop for a short snack at the Star Mine picnic structure at the hike half way point, and get back to our cars before the heat sets in.

There is no restroom at the hike starting point, but there is a restroom at the mid point snack stop on the hike. There is no parking fee. Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome on this hike.

We will hike at an average to slower pace (25-30 mins per mile) so we can enjoy the experience and still get the heart pumping. Please update your RSVP if you find that you are unable to attend the hike.
