Hi Sweeps. Join Randy on an excursion across the Bay for a 4 mile hike (total elevation gain of 900 feet) to see the elusive Tiburon Mariposa Lily and the many other wildflowers gracing Ring Mountain. This is the season for the rare Tiburon Mariposa Lily. It only grows on one serpentine rock outcrop on Ring Mountain, in Tiburon, and nowhere else on earth.
Here is a link showing the different species of wildflowers that have been previously observed on Ring Mountain during the time period of our planned hike. The flowers are listed in the order that they were most frequently observed. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?month=5&place_id=3104&subview=map&view=species&iconic_taxa=Plantae
There is no restroom for this hike. Dogs on leash are allowed. There is no parking fee, but parking is limited at the trailhead, and carpooling is recommended.
Text Randy in the event of any problems or questions: 925-518-8439
We will hike at an average to slower pace (25-30 mins per mile) so we can enjoy the experience and still get the heart pumping. Please update your RSVP if you find that you are unable to attend the hike.
