Let's try something new out my way this week. Join Randy for an easy, flat 5 mile hike along Meadows Slough in historic Locke, CA. This is a beautiful dirt and gravel trail along the levee, offering great views of the delta and lots of wildlife in the mornings. The route is shaded for most of the way. Limited free parking is available at the trailhead and along Levee Road. There are no restrooms at the trailhead. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join on a leash. The little town of Locke was designated a National Historic Landmark District in 1990 as a unique example of a historic Chinese American rural community. Following the hike, we will go to lunch at famous Al the Wop's in 🤣"downtown"😂 Locke for steak and Texas toast (or whatever else strikes your fancy).

We will hike at an average to slower pace (25-30 mins per mile) so we can enjoy the experience while we get the heart pumping. Please update your RSVP if you cannot attend, so as many people as possible can enjoy this hike.
