What we're about

Welcome to The Tarot Method! This is tarot like you've never seen it before: no particular beliefs or special hat required, just a down-to-earth method for personal development, creative growth, and intuitive insight. This group is about teaching you to use tarot (and other related tools) to create a deeper connection with yourself, your creativity and your intuition.

The Tarot Method Practice Group: Check in With Your Deck

Link visible for attendees

This relaxed and informative (and FREE!) session will give you the chance to check in on your tarot journey as well as pick up a few new strategies and techniques to incorporate into your practice. Every month we will be working from a different topic, idea, question, spread, etc. Feel free to join every month, or pop in as you wish.

We will begin the session with a brief introduction to The Tarot Method and how it can be applied to your daily life (see thetarotmethod.com for more information on this). We will then guide you through various exercises to help you to understand the true potential these cards have. The session will conclude with an open discussion, and you will have the chance to ask any questions.

This session is open to complete beginners as well as those who have some experience of the tarot. It is recommended to bring a deck to the session if you have one, as this workshop is going to help you to bond with your deck and establish a rapport. Get in touch with our host Maria if you'd like her recommendations on tarot decks.

This is not a class about the history of the tarot or its traditions and symbolism (there are plenty of other courses/books/websites that do this already!). Rather, what you can expect here is a guided experience, not just tarot spreads but also creative journaling and therapeutic reflection. You will get a chance to flex your intuitive muscles and also meet some like-minded seekers and thinkers. After this session, you will understand how tarot can be used to forge a deeper connection with yourself and to access the knowledge you already contain within you.

Tarot is a visual language and, as such, it is the perfect method for communicating with our unconscious. If you want to get to know yourself better and strengthen access to your inner wisdom and creativity, then this session is for you.

We will be meeting on Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent out in a message to attendees on the day of the event. Any questions about Zoom, just ask!

This event is being offered COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE but donations are more than welcome. Simply send the desired amount via PayPal to [masked] or use the link paypal.me/thetarotmethod - any donations received will go toward expanding our programme of courses, sessions and events.

The Tarot Method Fortune Minding Sessions

Hammersmith Quaker Meeting

£8.50

What is fortune minding? Unlike fortune telling, which attempts to see and know the future, fortune minding is all about checking in with your life journey and reflecting on where you've been, where you are now, and where you'd like to be.

These empowering fortune minding sessions (held IN-PERSON at the beautiful Hammersmith Quakers Meeting House) will give you a dedicated and supportive space to explore your tarot practice and the amazing power of your own intuition.

These sessions will be different every time, and will contain a combination of:

  • Creative & insightful bespoke tarot spreads
  • Thought-provoking journaling prompts
  • Fascinating discussion with other seekers & tarot practitioners
  • A chance to try out different intuitive tools (Lenormand cards, oracle cards, pendulums, and a sampling of various rare & out of print card decks from our guide Maria's vast collection!)
  • And LOTS more!

If you've never looked at a tarot card in your life, don't worry! Beginners are more than welcome here, as well as folks who are more experienced. It is recommended you bring a deck (or two!) to the session, but we will have extras on hand if needed.

Please note that this is not a class about the history of the tarot or its traditions and symbolism (there are plenty of other courses/books/websites that do this already!). Rather, what you can expect here is a powerful lesson in your own potential, as well as a super fun day in the company of others.

The booking price goes completely toward the costs of running the group (meetup fees, renting the gorgeous library space at the Meeting House, etc.). Tickets can also be bought in cash on the day (but please let me know in advance if you will be coming!).

There are no refunds available for this event, but if something happens on the day please get in touch, we may be able to give you a place on a different event at a later date.

Any questions or comments, please message me on Meetup or email [masked]

Looking forward to pulling some cards with you soon!

Lenormand Card Reading Basics: the 3-card spread

Link visible for attendees

£10.50

Want to learn to read Lenormand cards? This 36-card divination system is very different from Tarot, but it's surprisingly simple to learn and (very often) shockingly accurate.

Lenormand cards use simple symbols, such as Letter, Ring, House, etc., which you place in a spread to create a multi-dimensional representation of a situation. Unlike Tarot, which can sometimes be a bit more spiritual, reflective, and (occasionally) unclear, Lenormand cards are great at describing a situation in incredible detail, leaving you with a clear picture of what's going on and practical steps to take forward.

In this Lenormand Card Reading Basics workshop, you will learn how to read a 3-card Lenormand spread. This is a very important spread, because it provides the essential building block of the 9-card spread, which in itself is an important facet of the ultimate Lenormand spread: the Grand Tableau, a somewhat intimidating divinatory undertaking which uses all 36 cards from the Lenormand deck!

This workshop is geared toward absolute beginners as well as slightly more experienced Lenormand readers who want to focus on mastering the basics.

Please bring a Lenormand deck to the sesssion. Any Lenormand deck will do, but please contact our host Maria if you need advice on finding the right deck for you.

All participants will be sent a Lenormand card 'cheat sheet' with keywords and general meanings, but the idea is that this workshop will help you start building your own Lenormand vocabulary and getting to know these cards on an intuitive level.

We will be meeting on Zoom. The Zoom link is available on the event page for those who have reserved a space. Any questions about Zoom, just ask!

There are no refunds available for this event, but if something happens on the day please get in touch, we may be able to give you a place on a different event at a later date.

The Empowering Art of Tarot Journaling

Link visible for attendees

£5.50

Join us for an empowering evening of journaling, creativity, self-reflection and card-pulling. This workshop is going to teach you a number of different journaling exercises and strategies that work in tandem with tarot (or oracle) decks. We will discuss the benefits of having a tarot & journaling practice, then guide you through several simple but powerful techniques that will help you to understand yourself better as well as connect with your cards and your intuition/higher self.

After this session, you will have a solid foundation for your own tarot & journaling practice and you will understand how to continue developing this practice for yourself in a way that suits your uniqueness. You will also have firsthand experience of how tarot can be used to forge a deeper connection with yourself and access the knowledge you already contain within you.

If you've never looked at a tarot card in your life, or if you've never kept a journal before, don't worry! Beginners are more than welcome here, as well as folks who are more familiar with these practices.

Please come prepared with a deck (tarot or oracle), something to write with, and an open and curious mind.

We will NOT be conducting divinatory readings in the traditional sense; the idea is to use our cards to spark insight and self-reflection.

*If you have attended any of the previous Tarot Journaling events, rest assured that this workshop will contain all new exercises so there is no risk of boredom :)

We will be meeting on Zoom. The Zoom link is available on the event page for those who have reserved a space. Any questions about Zoom, just ask!

There are no refunds available for this event, but if something happens on the day please get in touch, we may be able to give you a place on a different event at a later date.
