Welcome to our 5-week online course TAROT FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS!

I'm so excited to be your guide into the wonderful & magical world of tarot and intuition. Every lesson will include discussion, in-depth explanations, and practical hands-on exercises to help you integrate the material.

Part 1 (Thurs July 9th)
INTRODUCTION TO TAROT
We will cover what tarot is and isn't, the structure of a tarot deck, how to choose and work with your tarot deck, and how to develop your intuition and card reading skills.

Part 2 (Thurs July 16th)
THE MAJOR ARCANA
We will discuss the meanings and symbolism behind the 22 Major Arcana in the tarot deck, how to work with these cards in a reading, and how to interpret their appearance in a spread.

Part 3 (Thurs July 23rd)
THE MINOR ARCANA
We will explore the four suits in the tarot deck (Cups, Swords, Wands, and Pentacles), how to work with these cards in a reading, and how to interpret them as individual cards as well as in pairs and triplets.

Part 4 (Thurs July 30th)
INTUITION AND READING SKILLS
We will discuss how to put your tarot knowledge into practice, how to ask the right question, choosing a tarot spread, and the difference between reading for yourself & reading for others.

Part 5 (Thurs August 6th)
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
We will shed light on tricky issues like ethics & boundaries, how to read reversed cards, what to do when you or a client dislikes an interpretation, what to do when you draw a blank, and how to keep developing your tarot reading skills.

The course will take place on Zoom from 7-9pm UK time. Each session will be recorded, and attendees will have access to the recording for 1 month.

You are welcome to book individual classes on Meetup (£25 each) or you can book all 5 lessons for only £100. If you want to book all 5, please email me (maria@thefortuneminder.com). Please note that the Zoom link for each class is different, so make sure you book for each session you would like to attend.

There are no refunds available for this event, but since every session will be recorded, even if you can't attend live you won't miss out. Recordings will be emailed via Meetup, so please check your Meetup settings and make sure you have enabled email updates from The Tarot Method.

FAQs
Do I need to bring a tarot deck?
Yes! The Rider-Waite-Smith deck is highly encouraged, since it's the deck our lessons will be most strongly based on. If there is another deck you have or prefer, please email me (maria@thefortuneminder.com) to check that it's appropriate for this course.

What else do I need?
A journal and something to write with, as well as candles/incense if you want to set a nice contemplative mood!

Can I use an oracle deck?
No. This is a tarot course, so if you use an oracle deck then unfortunately you just won't get the most out of the course. You are more than welcome to use your oracle decks in our monthly practice group (Check in With Your Deck).

What if I'm not strictly a beginner? Can I still join?
Of course! These classes are created with beginners in mind, but they are also appropriate for anyone who has some experience with tarot and wants a refresher.

Do I have to attend all 5 classes?
No, but it's highly encouraged! Each class builds upon the previous session, so you will get the most out of the course if you can attend all lessons. If you're unable to attend live, you will still have access to the Zoom recording (usually sent out in an email by the following day). But with all that said, if you truly only want to attend 1 or 2 classes, that's totally up to you.

I don't want my face or voice to be recorded. What should I do?
You are more than welcome to keep your camera switched off. If you have any questions or comments, you can communicate via the Zoom chat.
