About us
The Test Tribe is the World’s Largest Software Testing Community turned EdTech Startup. Started in 2018 with a mission to give Testing Craft the glory it deserves while we co-create Smarter, prouder, and confident Testers.
This is a group for our super awesome New York Community. We wish to create a safe and cooperating community for Testers in New York too. We take pride in solving upskilling and growth for global Testing professionals through our unique offerings like Expert Courses, Membership, Cohorts, Offline Mixers, online Community spaces, and a lot of global Events.
Our offerings enable Software Testers globally to collaborate, learn, and grow together. With around 980+ Events like Conferences, Hackathons, Meetups, Webinars, etc., and with other Community initiatives, we have reached a global footprint of over 175K+ Testers from 130+ Countries. We intend to provide life-altering growth to every single Testing professional on the planet through community and technology.

AI-Assisted Testing: From Prompt to Automation & Testable Design | 7th NA Huddle
·OnlineOnline38 attendees from 14 groupsAI can turn a plain-English test idea into executable mobile automation. The harder part is making sure the generated test follows team standards, remains reviewable, and still leaves the important decisions with the tester.
At The Test Tribe’s 7th North America Huddle, Srikanth Srinivas will demonstrate an AI-assisted mobile automation workflow using WebdriverIO, Appium, and a real Android device.
The second session looks at a different side of quality engineering. Vinitha Kalappurakkal will share how treating testability as an architectural problem helped reduce a retroactive billing process in a healthcare platform from approximately 72 hours to 3.5 hours while maintaining its quality and financial validation.
## Session 1
Prompt to Passing Test: AI-CLI-Driven Mobile Automation
Speaker: Srikanth Srinivas
Srikanth will demonstrate how an AI command-line assistant can take a plain-English testing idea and turn it into an asserting mobile test using WebdriverIO and Appium, then execute it on a real Android device.## Session 2
From 72 Hours to 3.5: A Quality-Driven Redesign of Retroactive Billing
Speaker: Vinitha Kalappurakkal
A retroactive billing process in a healthcare platform was taking approximately 72 hours at full production volume. Its core calculation was tightly coupled with invoice generation, making independent testing and validation difficult.
Vinitha will share how separating the retroactive calculation into its own stage made the process easier to verify and reduced processing time to roughly 3.5 hours.## Event Details

Moving Fast with AI Evals | Washington Meetup
1501 Langston Blvd., Arlington, VA 22209, USA, Washington, WA, US3rd Washington DC Meetup – From Ground Truth to Confident Decisions: Moving Fast with AI Evals
How do AI teams move fast without compromising confidence in what they ship? And how do they know when evaluation results provide enough evidence to make the next decision?
AI evaluations are only as reliable as the examples, judgments, and criteria behind them. Building meaningful evaluations requires more than automated scores. It requires representative ground truth, human judgment, and a clear connection between evaluation results and business decisions.
At The Test Tribe’s 3rd Washington DC Meetup, Alekhya Guduri will explore how teams can build reliable AI evaluation practices, manage uncertainty, and turn evaluation findings into confident decisions about when to launch, iterate, or investigate further.
Session - From Ground Truth to Confident Decisions: Moving Fast with AI Evals
Speaker: Alekhya Guduri, Senior Director of Engineering at IndeedAlekhya works at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and organizational leadership. At Indeed, she leads engineering quality, program management, and AI evaluation, connecting technical insights with business priorities to guide investment decisions and execution.
Her work focuses on helping teams navigate ambiguity, make informed trade-offs, and translate emerging AI capabilities into measurable business value. She is also an Executive MBA candidate at NYU Stern, Class of 2027.Drawing on her experience leading AI evaluation programs, Alekhya will explore how to establish reliable ground truth, combine automated evaluations with human review, and determine when the available evidence is sufficient to move forward, even when uncertainty remains.
The session will cover:
- Building Reliable Ground Truth: Creating representative datasets using clear evaluation criteria and human review.
- Combining AI and Human Judgment: Using LLM-based evaluators alongside human assessments to identify meaningful quality gaps.
- Turning Evaluations into Decisions: Translating evaluation results into explicit launch, iterate, or stop decisions.
- Managing Uncertainty: Distinguishing uncertainties that require further investigation from those that can be managed through experimentation and monitoring.
