At the Museum | Tacoma Art Museum Sunday, September 20 | 1:00–3:00 PM I’m kicking off The Third Place Society with an easy Sunday afternoon at the Tacoma Art Museum. We’ll wander the galleries, see what catches our attention, talk about what we love, what we don’t understand, and enjoy experiencing something different together. No art knowledge required. No agenda. This is simply an opportunity to get out, see something beautiful or interesting, meet a few people, and spend an afternoon somewhere we might not have gone otherwise. Come alone. Most of us will be meeting for the first time, which is kind of the point.

The details: We’ll meet at the Tacoma Art Museum at 1:00 PM. Please purchase your own museum admission. We’ll spend approximately two hours exploring, but you’re welcome to leave whenever you need to.

What to bring: Yourself, comfortable shoes, and your curiosity.

We’re building as we go. During these early Third Place Society outings, activities are generally planned as individual, pay-your-own-way experiences rather than prepaid group reservations. RSVPs and follow-through help tremendously, and a little flexibility goes a long way while we grow into a more established group.

The Third Place Society is about exploring, discovering yourself through living, and meeting people along the way.
I’m going. If this sounds good to you too, meet me there!
