Join us as we continue our discussion of the intellectual biography of Jürgen Habermas. (Link to text below.)

We will be picking up on page 14 with The Theory of Communicative Action, and reading to the the end.

Widely considered to be one of the greatest living philosophers in the world today, Habermas has long been a leading figure in the fields of sociology and political theory, and is often associated with the Critical Theory of the Frankfurt School, where he got his start in the 1950s.

The session will be led by Dr. Justin Burke, who studied philosophy in the U.K. at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and completed his doctorate on Hegel at the University of Oxford in England. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Institute for Advanced Dialectical Research:
