Grounded in Nature: 6 km Hike on Jack Pine Trail
NCC Greenbelt P9, NCC 26, Ottawa, ON K2R 1H4, Ottawa, ON, CACome join us for a beautiful 6 km walk/hike in nature along the Jack Pine Trail in Ottawa’s Greenbelt.
Meeting point: NCC Greenbelt P9 – Jack Pine Trail, Nepean, just off Moodie Drive.
And yes — bare feet are optional! 😊
This trail is lovely for barefoot walking -- we’ve explored it that way before. There are occasional rocky sections, so if you’d like to try going barefoot, you can bring a pair of shoes you can easily slip on in case needed. Barefoot, boots, running shoes — no judgement. Ever.
Walking barefoot on natural surfaces can be a wonderful way to slow down, become more aware of your surroundings, and allow your feet to move and respond naturally to the terrain. Add in the benefits of walking, fresh air, time among the trees and good company, and it’s a pretty great way to spend a few hours.
Whether you come to experience barefoot walking or simply want a beautiful hike in nature, we’d love to have you join us!
