Have you ever finished a really good book and immediately wanted to talk about it—only to realize nobody around you has read it? You want to say, “Can we PLEASE talk about what just happened?!” but no one understands because they weren’t along for the ride. 😂
That’s exactly why The Well-Read Cat People of Orlando exists.
We’re a fun, relaxed monthly book club for adults who love good books, good conversation, and meeting new people.
We’ll read one popular, buzz-worthy book each month—the kind you’ve seen everywhere and keep thinking, “I’ve been wanting to read that!” Expect a fun mix of bestsellers, thrillers, mysteries, romance, historical fiction and whatever else catches our attention.
And this is NOT English class. 😂 No essays. No pop quizzes. No pressure to analyze every paragraph. Read it, listen to it, love it, hate it, laugh about it, get mad at a character, predict the ending completely wrong—or come ready to tell us you saw that twist coming from Chapter 3!
The whole point is finally having people who read the same book you did and actually WANT to talk about it.
We’re here to share our opinions, laugh, make new friends and enjoy something together outside of everyday life.
And despite the name, you don’t have to own a cat! Cat ladies, cat gentlemen, cat lovers, cat admirers—and anyone who just enjoys good books and good company—are welcome.
