About us
I am not sure how it happened but more and more of my weekends are spent alone!
I am intentionally not in a relationship, I am not into going out drinking and partying and I love my independence but I do need some kind of connection with likeminded people and weekends seem to be the most isolating part of the week!
My youngest is 18 so I have a lot of freedom these days and I would love to form a group of likeminded people who can meet if they want to for an organised wholesome activity every weekend and hopefully form some friendships and have lots of laughter along the way.
I recently realised how many people are in a similar situation to me, hence deciding to set up the wholesome weekenders!
My suggestion is that I organise an optional weekly meet up on a Saturday morning in a lovely coffee shop followed by an optional organised activity later in the day for example learning a new craft for a few hours, going for a beach walk, trying a new skill for fun, meeting in the evening to go to the theatre or getting out of our comfort zones (slightly!) Everything will be optional and very laid back.
I am VERY excited to start this and look forward to meeting some likeminded people and sharing some fun weekend activities!
I am also keen to arrange the odd optional weekend trip once the group gets going as going away alone is a whole other thing and I love travel! But first of all I want to establish the weekly meet ups and activities.
I intend to charge a small monthly fee to cover the time I anticipate that it takes me to organise everything and make sure that what I organise is quality and therefore popular and finds the right people!
If this is you, please get in touch:-
You need a bit more connection in your life
You love trying new things
You love travel but you also appreciate calm
You are in a phase in your life where you still feel young (ish!) but you don't want to party
You want to laugh, create or explore more
Please note this is NOT a dating group! I am expecting it to be mostly women that join but I am not saying men wouldn't be welcome as long as they are respectful of the fact that it is a safe group for socialising and potentially making friends. I am open to potentially making it a women's only space if that feels better for the other women that join at this early stage. The most important thing is that we can all meet up and enjoy ourselves together!
At the moment I am just putting some feelers out first to see if I get much of a response. If I get a few people respond, I will set a date and venue for a first meeting and start organising weekly events. If you are interested in meeting up in the next few weeks then send me a message and we can chat!
