Welcome to The Fellowship of the Western Mysteries meetup group (formerly The Wiccan Fellowship)! Our community is dedicated to providing a supportive space for those interested in Wicca, Paganism, The Western Mysteries, Western Esoteric Traditions, and anything even closely related. Whether you are new to The Craft, have been practicing for years, or know nothing at all and are merely curious, all are welcome to join us for discussions, rituals, workshops, and more. Let's come together to share our experiences, learn from each other, and deepen our spiritual connection with the earth and spiritual energies. Alle sind willkommen – erfahrene Praktizierende, Anfänger, Neugierige, Heiden und Heiden-Interessierte, Praktizierende ähnlicher Traditionen, und sogar diejenigen, die keine Ahnung haben, warum sie kommen möchten, aber einfach das Bedürfnis verspüren. Auch willkommen sind alle, die zwar nichts über Heidentum wissen, aber Harry Potter und Herr der Ringe und Ähnliches mögen. :-)

Lammas!- Temple of Avalon Tradition- FWM Wheel of the Year Open Ritual!
Tympannum, Prinz-Eugen-Straße 6, 1040, Vienna, ATIn Wicca and other Neo-Pagan traditions the "Wheel of the Year" is central: Eight yearly festivals that echo the seasonal rites of our ancestors.
This month's celebration is LAMMAS, and will be held in the Cerridwen Tradition of the Temple College of Avalon (https://cerridwen.co.uk/) by a local initiate of that tradition, a Priestess of Cerridwen.
Lammas, or Lughnasadh, is the festival of the first harvest—a sacred time to honor the fruits of the earth and the labor that brings them forth. As the grain ripens in the fields and the summer sun begins its slow descent, we gather to give thanks for abundance, sustenance, and the blessings already received.
In Wiccan tradition, Lammas is a time of sacrifice and gratitude. The God, in his aspect as the Corn King, begins his descent, offering himself so that life may continue. His symbolic death is reflected in the cutting of the grain, the baking of the first loaves, and the sharing of food among community. The Goddess, heavy with life, nurtures the land even as the days begin to shorten. Together, they remind us of the sacred balance of gain and loss, work and rest, life and death.
Lammas invites us to reflect on what we have planted and what we are now reaping—not only in the fields, but in our lives, relationships, and spiritual paths. It is a time for gratitude, feasting, and community, but also for honesty and offering. What are we willing to give in return for the gifts we receive?
The sacred wheel turns, and with Lammas, we step into the waning half of the year—carrying with us both the richness of the harvest and the humility of the heart. 🌾🔥🍞

(Online tickets are non-refundable.)The event and the ritual will be held in English unless otherwise noted. We sometimes do have other groups host rituals, and sometimes they work in other languages. If that is the case it will be noted here.
Doors open at 19:30. Ritual talk-through will start at 20:00 or so and the ritual will start soon after the talk-through. Ritual length varies but the ritual itself should be over by 21:30 to 22:00. Afterwords there will be time for socializing and merrymaking, so plan to stay longer if you're feeling social and you can. If not of course you can go when you wish. :-) There is an open bar on-site. :-)
Attire: Street clothes are fine but try to come dressed as much as possible in a single colour- black and white are best. If you have ritual attire (robes etc.) and would like to wear them, feel free.
Beginners and experienced practioners alike, as well as the merely curious are welcomed. We will explain everything you need to do before the ritual- it's possible (and completely fine) to jump right in.
The environment is friendly and welcoming and newcomers are welcomed! We do a full talk-through before the ritual, explain what the ritual is about and what everyone needs to know and understand, and we'll guide you through the whole thing, so there is really no problem coming if you have no idea what to expect.
