Scarlet Pimpernel (In Concert) - Ogden Musical Theater
Details
Join us at The Scarlet Pimpernel with Ogden Musical Theater on Saturday, February 21st at 2:00 for the show and dinner to follow.
The Scarlet Pimpernel is a swashbuckling action/adventure musical, based on Baroness Orczy’s famous 20th-century novel about the French Revolution and the battle for Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. With an epic, sweeping book by Nan Knighton and a rousing and passionate score by Knighton and Frank Wildhorn, The Scarlet Pimpernel is a colorful window into 18th-century French and British history. The show’s most popular numbers include “Into The Fire,” “When I Look At You,” “You Are My Home,” “She Was There” and “I’ll Forget You.”
“A family-oriented musical that’s part boy’s adventure story, part Harlequin romance... with a light and springy step.” – The New York Times
What Does "In-Concert" Mean?
An in-concert production presents the full musical score performed live by talented vocalists and a full orchestra, but with minimal staging, sets, and costumes. It’s a unique opportunity to experience the music and storytelling in their purest form—spotlighting the power of the performers, the orchestra, and the score itself.

Theater Enjoyment Guide:
- Switch OFF your cell phone – Under no circumstances should you ever text, take pictures, or video during a show.
- Savor your snacks quietly (or not at all)! If you have to unwrap cough drops or treats from intermission, please enjoy them QUIETLY to avoid disturbing others. Theaters are designed to amplify sound, so even the smallest noise can be heard far and wide.
- Activate Silent or Theater Mode on your watch to prevent it from lighting up and diverting attention from the performance.
- Keep conversations for intermission or after the show to preserve the ambiance for everyone.
- Positive vibes only within the theater vicinity! It’s lovely to share constructive feedback once outside and away from the theater.
- Dress code follows the unwritten rule of "the more you pay, the fancier you may dress," with Broadway being the delightful exception. Feel free to dress comfortably for your day's plans.
