This is a taster session for our course: Technique of (many) Characters.
Join us for a practical workshop to explore characters and voice work.

If you love doing voices,
When reading a bed time story, playing D&D, or just goofing around -
Then you already do character voices instinctively.
You just don't know how you're doing it.

Join this free class and discover:

  • What elements shape a character voice
  • Why some voices are easy to repeat and others disappear
  • How professional voice actors stay consistent and protect their voice
  • What kind of vocal control is actually trainable

This is a practical workshop.
You will learn about your voice and how it works
and you will also get to use your voice and try different things

The workshop is led by voice actor Sandra Gayer.
Sandra is a voice actress and a trained Opera singer.
She is Theatre Gym's master of vocal technique and teaches a few courses with Theatre Gym.

You don’t need any experience in voice acting/ acting
You don’t need to be a native English speaker
& you don’t need a fancy microphone
Just come and discover this new way to be playful and deliver a message

It’ll be great if you’re in a quiet space with no interruptions.
Ideally, a space where you feel comfortable enough to make silly voices :)

This 60min session is packed with interesting stuff and we will start on time.
Please arrive a few minutes early so you don’t miss anything.

RSVPing on Meetup isn't enough to access the workshop (but it's nice).
If you have any questions, please email students@theatregym.co.uk

You won’t be there on your own!
This event is posted in a few places and announced to Theatre Gym's own community, so even if the event looks empty, please know that more people are always signed up.
Feel free to get in touch if you’re not sure about something :)
