What we’re about
We have many amazing small theatres right in our own town!
Please sign up for an upcoming show at our specially arranged ticket price, & we'll be in the lobby to welcome each of you on the night!
We support the best little independent theatres and also attend the bigger more well known theatres. Our friendly group comes together in the lobby to mingle before the show, or maybe meet for dinner. You can even take your drinks into the show oftentimes! We’ll usually sit as a group and have a have a post show chat - sometimes wth memers of the cast.
- No Theatre experience or savvy knowledge required! First timers are most welcome:)
- Non-profit group
Our objective is to provide a fun and enjoyable social theatre experience. Independent Theatre has very little funding and most performers and theatre venues operate at a loss or break even. This is also true of our group, we have some overhead costs, plus countless volunteer hours by our hosts. We pass along the best discount we can in our ticket prices.
- All ages/backgrounds/nationalities/sydneysiders/travellers/friends/singles & couples are all most welcome to join our events.
We have several shows per month on all different nights to suit different availablties. We attend a wide variety from drama to comedy, traditional to modern & also musicals. Suggestions are always welcome.
We look forward to showing you Sydney’s Fantastic Theatre scene!
Bryon & Maggy
Note: 7 DAY or more advance purchase of tickets is often required to ensure our group seats are reserved. So please Sign up Early, and put the date in your planner:) If you missed out on group tickets, you can always buy direct from the venue box office for a little more money and booking fee, and come join us.

BIRDSONG OF TOMORROW
7pm start approx 60 mins. The wandering albatross. The buff-breasted paradise kingfisher. The superb fairywren. Every day across this country, birds sing. Songs passed down through generations. Songs of a world that’s gone and a world that’s changing. Birds fill every part of the planet with melody and colour. They soar and swim and run. And a lot of them are chickens.
Nathan Harrison the writer is a professional theatre-maker and an amateur birdwatcher, who has seen roughly 150 varieties in the last year alone. Blending science, storytelling, music and video, Birdsong of Tomorrow is a playful and heartfelt look at our rapidly changing environment—and what birds might sing when we’re gone. Please purchase your tickets through Griffin theatre company - link below then RSVP ATTEND (venue is Old Fitzroy Theatre)

Starts 9pm approx 50 mins
Writer & Performer: Michael Louis Kennedy
Paulie Accio has had a big night. And his big night is followed by an even bigger day, performing at the birthday party of nine-year-old self-identified angel Constantina Levesy; a necessary but humiliating gig for an otherwise serious clown.Nursing a particularly queer injury and a come-down that could fell a wollemi pine, he faces a relentless trial of pretentious desserts, errant blow torches, and heinous conversations with employees of Deloitte; culminating in a shocking and senseless murder.
