Edward Albee's At Home At The Zoo
Writer: Edward Albee
Director: James Litchfield

Peter and Ann have two daughters. Peter and Ann have two parakeets. Peter and Ann have two cats. Peter and Ann have two microwaves. Peter and Ann are two married people who have slept together for years, and are not like those married people who can suddenly behave like strangers, like people who’ve just met in a bar and gone to the motel next to door to hammer it all out.
Peter is a man with a wife, two daughters, two parakeets, two cats, and two microwaves. Jerry is a man with not much of anything at all.

Edward Albee’s first play, a one-act story about two strangers called The Zoo Story was first performed in 1959. 45 years later, Albee finally “completed” the play by writing a first act about a long married couple, and the play was renamed At Home At The Zoo.
