Portuguese class @ The Block

"Hello everyone,
I am Margarida, a 32 year old anthropologist working as a promoter of social entrepreneurship. I am passionate about experiencing different sociocultural contexts and have searched for this diversity throughout my personal&professional paths - leading me from community development to documentary filmmaking.
I am also passionate about languages and the possibilities for effective communication and cultural encounter they provide. I have been teaching Portuguese as a foreign language to many enthusiastic entrepreneurs who have decided to make Lisbon their home.

My experience has taught me that we learn better and faster the more connected we feel towards a subject. I therefore use coaching as a method, providing on-going support, teaching basic structure and grammar when needed but also providing tips and materials adjusted to each student's personal profile and goals, while encouraging them to engage with local culture as much as possible.

I look forward to assisting each one of you on your personal path through language and culture in Lisbon!
