EU Day - Tips & Tricks to survive the European Elections

With the European elections approaching, which are occurring on 23-26 May depending on the country of residence, it is of a fundamental importance to raise awareness among the European citizens about the critical role that the EU is playing in our lives and in the economic, social and cultural development of each member state. Considering that 80% of the regulation is debated and approved at a European level, voting means expressing your own opinion regarding the direction that the EU will take in the following 5 years. Even if the EU is perceived as far, nowadays it
is a fundamental institution for preserving the peace and health of the citizens, protecting the consumers, respecting the human rights, fighting against the criminality and having a strong influence in the world economy.

The main idea of the EU Day Event is not only to raise awareness of the European Union in the framework of the upcoming European elections, but also to give an overview about the opportunities that the EU is giving to its citizens only and especially what is the EU really doing for us, which will be explained in the most concrete way as possible.
The event will consist of an hour-long speaker series and interactive activities as a collaboration between the CommUnity by InnoEnergy, garagErasmus and The Block Community.
