Remember when everyone turned their photos into Studio Ghibli scenes? Miyazaki never said yes. That viral moment was fun, but it cracked open a question nobody has really answered.
So who owns a style? Can you even own one at all?
Style has never been protected by law, anywhere in the world. But what happens when a machine can replicate it instantly, at scale, for anyone?
We'll talk about where art ends and infringement begins, whether prompts and creative workflows deserve protection, and what artists can actually do to keep control of their work.
