Autumn Walk around Fletcher Moss
Hi guys, I thought it would be nice to do a lovely leisurely walk around Fletcher Moss Park and Botanical Gardens. What we'll do: Meet at the Cafe just as you go through the park entrance, I will be there between 10am and 10.30am. The walk will set off at 11am. What you'll need -Bottle of water in case you get thirsty - Suitable footwear, walking boots etc, waterproofs -Packed lunch Travelling to Fletcher Moss Gardens and Parsonage Gardens On foot: Fletcher Moss Gardens and the Old Parsonage lie 1/4 mile south of Didsbury Village on Wilmslow Road. By bus: There are several bus services that run along Wilmslow Road and stop near the entrances to Fletcher Moss Park and Parsonage Gardens. The nearest bus stop is at the junction of Wilmslow Road and Millgate Lane. The 42 runs from Manchester to East Didsbury; The 23 runs from the Trafford Centre to Stockport via Chorlton, Didsbury and East Didsbury; The 157 and X57 run from Manchester to Woodford via East Didsbury, Cheadle, Bramhall; The 84 runs from Reddish to Manchester via East Didsbury. By Train: The nearest rail station is at East Didsbury, 1/4 mile along Wilmslow Road (towards Stockport). By Metrolink Tram: Trams on the Metrolink service to East Didsbury are every 12 minutes, Monday to Saturday; every 24 minutes on Sundays. There are stations at Didsbury Village and East Didsbury, both around 1/3 mile from Fletcher Moss. By Car: There is very limited parking in a small car park at the entrance to Fletcher Moss Park on Millgate Lane. Other parking is available on Stenner Lane (better for Parsonage Gardens, though it can be busy), and in the car park of The Didsbury pub, for which there is a charge of £2 which is redeemable if you buy anything in the pub. The postcode for SatNavs is M20 2SW for Fletcher Moss Park, and M20 2RQ for Parsonage Gardens. Disabled Access to the Park and Gardens There is some provision for wheelchair and pushchair use in the park, though this was not thought of at the time the gardens were designed in the 19th century. Please see the section on 'Disabled Access' in the 'Activities' page of the website. There are (outside) disabled toilets in Fletcher Moss Park and inside ones in the Old Parsonage in Parsonage

Welcome to the BUDDY CLUB. A group for people who are looking to make genuine new friends in the Greater Manchester area.
