About:
Saptagundalu waterfalls(also known as Mitte waterfalls by local people.) is located in Sirpur(U) mandal near pittaguda village inside jungle. As the name says, these are 7 waterfalls spread in a distance over 15Kms and only 3 waterfalls out of 7 are accessible on Foot. One has to trek for about 3-4 Kms into jungle to visit these magnificent waterfalls.

Itinerary:
Day 01 - Saturday:
05:00 AM: Bowenpally Police Station, Hyderabad (Gathering Point)
- Breakfast on the way and lunch will be packed.
- Target is to reach base village by 11 AM Start trek to waterfalls.
11:00 AM: We reach the base village and start.
06:00 PM: Find a campsite near river and start meal preparation for dinner.

Day 02 - Sunday:
06:00 AM: Wake-up call, Refresh and Prepare breakfast. Start back to the base point through different side of forest.
01:00 PM: Reach base village.
02:00 PM: Start back to Hyderabad. We will reach Hyderabad by night.

Difficulty level: Difficult. Prior hiking experience required.

Things to carry:
Mandatory:
✔️ Photo ID
✔️ A Rucksack (30-50L). No trolly/Briefcase.
✔️ Trek shoes with extra pairs of socks.
✔️ 2 Pairs of clothes, One Pair of night wear. (Full sleeves preferred. No Jeans)
✔️ 3 Lts of water, Cooking bowl, Plate, Spoon.
✔️ All-weather jacket/Sweater. (It gets very cold at night.)
✔️ Head torch.
✔️ Sleeping bag/blanket.
✔️ Plastic Cover to carry trash.
✔️ Toiletries - Paper tissue, Brush, Toothpaste, Sanitizer, Towel.

Optional:
✔️ Personal medication.
✔️ Power Bank.
✔️ Flip flops to change over at night.
✔️ Hat/Sun cap, Goggles, Sunscreen.
✔️ Mosquito repellent cream.

Important Terms🚨⚠️

  • Transportation will be self-arranged. However, you can carpool with other participants and share fuel expenses. We will attempt to facilitate participant carpooling, but it is not the organizer's responsibility.
  • We will be using river water only for drinking and cooking. All meals from Friday night to Sunday morning are self-cooked and everybody's participation is mandatory. Each participant should carry 3 liters of water for drinking and cooking, as February has reduced water flow.
  • We will provide tents on a twin-sharing basis. It is the participant's responsibility to carry tents for the entire distance and to hand over the tents back to the organizer post-trek.
  • Organizers will provide participants with cooking materials and food items to carry with them throughout the trek. This will be a shared load. Expect a 4 kg load from this, so pack your bags accordingly.
  • We will be trekking and sleeping in a deep forest where many dangerous wild animals might be present. Participants should be aware and move in groups.
  • There will be no mobile network once we reach the base village and start our trek (Day 1 from 2 PM to Day 12 PM).
  • Strictly No alcohol, no intoxicants, no strong drinks, and no smoking from the start to the end of the event.
  • Please note that this is not a luxury trip. Safety is our priority. Organizer's decision is final.
  • Follow all the Covid guidelines. Make sure to carry masks and sanitizers for personal safety.
  • Please cross-check the 'things to carry' list and pack your bags accordingly.
