About us
Welcome to The Dance with Ann Kite — formerly Conscious Dancer DC.
This community continues to evolve alongside the growing conscious movement community in DC and Baltimore, welcoming both longtime dancers and those discovering this work for the first time.
We gather through movement, music, mindfulness, and authentic connection to create spaces where people can move freely, reconnect with themselves, and share meaningful experiences with others.
Our roots include many movement traditions and practices, including:

• Acro-Yoga
• Zumba
• African Dance

• JourneyDance
• Biodanza
• Belly Dance
and other embodied and conscious movement experiences.
No dance experience is needed.
You can expect the same heart-centered gatherings, with continued growth toward deeper connection, inclusivity, creativity, and community.

The Let Go: Friday Night
Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club, 8200 Hamilton Spring Ct, Bethesda, MD, USLet go of the week and welcome the weekend. Join master teacher Ann Kite in person every Friday at 8pm for a dynamic, deeply embodied release.
Each week, 60–75 people gather to dance together in a supportive, spirited community. Ann has held this group for years, creating a safe space to sweat, shift, and soften the ego’s grip so the freer, wilder, more alive part of you can come through.
Movement is for everyone, whether you’ve danced for years or are brand new. This isn’t about performing or getting the “right” steps. It’s about tuning into your body’s natural rhythms, finding freedom in stillness and motion, and remembering what it feels like to be fully alive.
Whether you’re seeking connection, healing, or simply a fresh perspective, you’re welcome exactly as you are.
Movement is the doorway. We’ll guide you the rest of the way.
