# Our Manifesto

Is coffee just a drink?
We believe coffee is more than a beverage. It reflects the history, culture, everyday life, and values of the city where it is found.

Since around 2015, Tokyo has emerged as one of the world's most exciting coffee destinations.
That's why our role is not simply to guide people from one café to another.
As we explore the city, from traditional kissaten to independent specialty coffee roasters, we seek to understand the stories behind each place.

- Why is this café here?
- How did Tokyo's coffee culture evolve into what it is today?
By exploring the history, culture, and people behind every cup, we uncover the stories that shape Tokyo's coffee scene.

Our mission is to share the culture of this city with the world through Tokyo's coffee culture.

コーヒーは、ただの飲み物でしょうか。
私たちは、コーヒーはその街の歴史や文化、人々の暮らしや価値観を映し出す、一つのカルチャーだと考えています。

2015年頃から、東京は世界が注目するコーヒー都市へと発展しました。
だから私たちの役割は、カフェを案内することではありません。
街を歩き、喫茶店から個性豊かなスペシャルティロースターまでを訪れながら、
「なぜ、この店はこの場所にあるのか。」
「東京のコーヒーカルチャーは、どのように育まれてきたのか。」
その背景にある歴史や文化、人々の物語を探求しています。

私たちのミッションは、東京のコーヒーカルチャーを通して、この街の文化を世界へ届けることです。

🍃 Spend a day exploring Japanese tea culture in a tea field, just one hour from Tokyo.
Sayama City, Saitama, is famous as the home of Sayama Tea, one of Japan’s three major tea-growing regions.
In this experience, we will visit a historic tea farm founded in the Meiji era and discover Japanese tea culture through tea picking and tea-making activities.
After picking tea leaves, we will make our own tea by hand using traditional methods passed down through generations.
After enjoying a local lunch, we will visit a farmers’ market to discover regional foods and desserts.
Step away from the city and join us in discovering the local charm of Japan.
✨ Solo travelers are more than welcome!

Since we need to reserve the tea farm experience in advance, your participation will be confirmed after payment is completed.

🍃 東京から約1時間、茶畑で過ごし日本の茶文化に触れる一日。

埼玉・狭山市は、日本三大銘茶のひとつ「狭山茶」の産地として知られています。
今回は、明治時代創業の歴史ある茶園を訪れ、茶摘み体験やお茶づくりを通して、日本のお茶文化を体験します。
茶摘みの後は、昔ながらの製法で茶葉を手揉みし、自分たちでお茶を作ります。
地元グルメのランチを楽しんだ後は、産直市場へ立ち寄り、地域ならではの食やデザートも楽しみます。
東京から少し足を延ばして、日本のローカルな魅力を一緒に発見しましょう。

Join us for a coffee tasting featuring specialty coffees discovered during Toyo's coffee research trip across these three countries, and explore the unique coffee cultures that have grown in each city.
During this event, Toyo, a coffee culture guide based in Tokyo, will share specialty coffees collected from roasteries visited abroad.
We'll taste them in a casual cupping-style coffee tasting, while enjoying travel photos, stories, and insights into local café culture.

What kind of coffee culture has developed in each city?
How do people enjoy their coffee in everyday life?
How does it compare with Tokyo's coffee scene?

Let's taste, chat, and discover the stories behind each cup together.
No coffee knowledge is required.

3つの国で実際に訪れたロースターのコーヒーを飲み比べながら、それぞれの街で育まれたコーヒーカルチャーをのぞいてみませんか？

このイベントでは、コーヒーカルチャーガイドのToyoが、海外のコーヒーリサーチで出会ったスペシャルティコーヒーを、カッピング形式でテイスティングし、現地で撮影した写真や旅のエピソードを交え、それぞれの街のコーヒー文化をご紹介します。

「その街では、どんなコーヒーが飲まれているの？」
「人々はどんな時間をカフェで過ごしているの？」

そんなテーマについて、みんなで気軽に話しながら、新しいコーヒーとの出会いを楽しみましょう。
