What weβre about
π HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE HIDEOUT, THE MOST ACTIVE THRILLER, SCI-FI AND HORROR FILM CLUB IN LONDON MADE BY FANS FOR FANS.
In a nutshell, we are just a bunch of Die Hard Film Buffs, Filmmakers, Creators, Comic Book Nerds, Geeks, and Trekkies who are aficionados of Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, David Lynch, John Carpenter, James Cameron, Gene Roddenberry, H.P Lovecraft, you name it, who like to go out for drinks and watch movies. We also rate and review the films after we watch them and the results are posted on our Letterboxd Page.
We are avid supporters of Independent Cinema, The Film Festival Guild, Medicinema, Prince Charles Cinema and the British Film Institute. Thanks to this we sometimes gain special access and discounts to special events that we can then share with you. Plus we meet up regularly for a social to catch up again at the BFI which is a lot of fun.
We try to stay well informed when it comes to Film News, New Releases and Re-Releases and members are able to vote for the films they want to watch through our WhatsApp Group or Telegram Group which are available on request. We also have an alternative non invasive WhatsApp Channel and Telegram Channel for updates only.
Whatever the time of year we do our best to always be around, come and join us for a good time.

π€ ALL SEVEN DEADLY SINS ARE AT PLAY
The tower that reaches to the stars conceived as Babel has already been built. Who will be our mediator now? What's going on guys π If you haven't seen a film this year or maybe you intend to, then this would be the one to see. We believe that this is one of the most important films that you will ever see, maybe even before you die. We are definitely now living in different times and this is what I would consider the Mega-Film that tried to warn us before we slow walked ourselves into our ever lasting dystopian present. This film explores themes of humanity, identity, and the nature of consciousness in a world where artificial intelligence has taken over and the fears of the potential maliciously controlled machines that rise up, deceive and fight our very existence. But, rather than bore you with further details Iβm going to let my favourite Podcaster Dave Cullen explain to you why this is so important. This no longer a miraculous glance Into the future. Wow, who would've known that time would move on so fast and that we would be stuck in the middle.
Here's some food for thought, God made man in his own image but what happens when man tries to do the same thing? Will that thing that he has created have a soul conscience or will it serve its own interests? We will be meeting for drinks beforehand where we will have chance to replay this podcast and warm up before the film. Check out the schedule breakdown below:
- 7:00 PM: We meet for drinks at Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar next to the Cinema. You will find us with a meetup sign.
- 8:20 PM: We move to Screen 1 at Prince Charles Cinema. We have chosen seats D10, D11, D12, D13 and D14. But feel free to choose where you feel more comfortable.
- 11:00 PM We briefly reconvene at the bar to score the film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
- To join our WhatsApp Group and Telegram Group, these are available at request. Alternatively you can join non invasive WhatsApp Channel or Telegram Channel for updates only.

πͺHARD FEELINGS THAT TURN TO A PLAGUE
Some grudges have a never ending thirst for revenge that grow with patients. As time goes by it consumes the host like a virus until it cracks and turns ravenous.Hello guys π Iβm not very good at revenge quotes, because I like to believe that I try at least to be a peaceful human. Although I understand when someone pisses you off so much that you can't think. But what can I say? You have to let it go. So anyway this will be a legacy sequel to the original I Know What you did Last Summer from 1997. It will continue from the events of the first and second film 27 years later but it will ignore the straight to DVD third instalment. It will be directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson who directed the hit film Do Revenge. I must confess I do like this franchise and Iβm glad that we'll get to see it again with the original cast. Whether they will be passing the torch to someone new that will remain to be seen.
Looks like this might be a good summer movie or at least it will be fun to go back to memory lane. I'll be back with more information about the meet up as we get closer to the date. Bye for now.

πͺ IN THE WORDS OF STEWART STAFFORD
Don't let the Devil hear you weeping or darkness comes as your friend. Paper cut, a blood pact union to steal away your purest soul.Hey guysπ Well, long story short, this is a psychological horror film directed by RackaRacka who are the Australian brothers Danny and Michael Philippou. You may remember them from Talk to Me. This will be their second major feature intended to be a departure from the style and themes of their previous work. While both films share some thematic similarities (like spiritual possession), Michael Philippou stated that this one explores the process of grief in a deeper way with a focus on a brother and sister uncovering a terrifying ritual at the home of their foster mother.
In the realm of hatred and anger, and other negative emotions, demons are the masters. So keep the faith and don't let them get the better of you. I'll update you later with the meetup details. Chat to you soon π

π« DON'T ASK ME TO BABYSIT YOUR KIDS, PLEASE π
I'm too afraid TBH, because even those purest hearts can be stained by the venom of falsehoods. In the courtroom of life, sometimes your innocence is the defendant against shadowy lies by those little angels that look so innocent.Alright guys π This is the reason why I never wanted to become a teacher. It seems that everybody is forever against you. You can't keep the school board happy, nor the parents, nor their lovely younglings that can never do no harm. Nope, not for me. I would never hear the end of it. I read somewhere that this mystery horror flick centres exactly on this. A town that grapples with the mysterious disappearance of 17 children from the same classroom overnight. It explores how the residents react to the missing children and the secrets that lie beneath the surface. The film is written and directed by actor/comedian Zach Cregger who also directed the 2022 to hit Barbarian. I don't think we'll be getting any laughs from him here.
Maybe this feeling of weirdness and attachment can be avoided when you set boundaries by just taking care of your own flock. Or am I being too selfish? I'll get back to you near the date with further meet-up details.
-----------------------------------------
π¬ PLOT DETAILS- When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance. Trailer
