About us
👋 Welcome to The Hideout: London’s most hyperactive social film club, built by horror fans for horror fans, exploring every corner of horror and the darker edge of sci-fi.
This is a home for fearless film lovers, indie creators, and dreamers, who dare to explore the depths of dystopia, drawn to the uncanny worlds of Hitchcock, Kubrick, Carpenter, Craven, Cronenberg, Argento, Lovecraft, and beyond.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema, whether it’s at the Prince Charles Cinema, exciting film festivals, or the BFI,. That means we often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.
Come hang out with a great crowd we’d love to have you with us.

🚙🎬 PASSENGER
Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar, 14 Leicester Pl, London WC2H 7BZ, London, GB💀 Damn, those horrific tragedies that unleash such an implacable demonic stalker. But why is it so impossible to outrun?
👋 What’s going on guys! Once again, we find ourselves right in the middle of bloody May, carving into another horror film. This time, we’re going into overdrive with a new tragedy horror by André Øvredal—already stirring quite a buzz on Reddit, with claims it explores elements of body horror.
If you’re familiar with his previous work, this will come as no surprise, as The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark also explore elements of body horror, though in different ways. Both are well regarded in the horror community, so excitement for this one is pretty high.
Most of the plot is being kept under wraps, but the vibe points to a suffocating, tense loop, following a couple caught in a harrowing car accident and pursued by a demonic stalker that seems impossible to escape. So let’s park outside that awful congestion zone.
So, it's Sunday drinks at the Victory House Wine Bar from 5:30pm. Then at 6:30pm will be on our way to Vue Cinema (Screen 2) where you'll find me in seat A4, but you can pick what works for you.
After the film we'll regroup once again for our commentary and Letterboxd review. And, you will find the full schedule breakdown, ticket info and addresses below, so don't miss out.
One would expect some sort of break after a shocking accident…but don’t count on it.
See you guys then,

🦇🎬 VAMPIRE'S KISS (4K Q&A PREMIERE)
Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar, 14 Leicester Pl, London WC2H 7BZ, London, GB🧛 Seduction. Romance. Murder. The things one does for love!
👋 Hey Everyone! Let’s meet up for Thursday night drinks and the UK premiere of the hilarious (so I hear) new 4K restoration of Vampire’s Kiss starring Nicolas Cage. The screening will be taking place at one of my favourite spots, the Prince Charles Cinema, and will also include an exclusive Q&A with director Robert Bierman.
The movie itself is a unique yuppie-comedy-horror that predates American Psycho by many years and follows a narcissistic New York literary agent, as he descends into madness. After a one-night stand with a mysterious woman who bites his neck, he becomes convinced he is transforming into a vampire.
The plan is to meet beforehand at the Victory House Wine Bar for a little vampire chit-chat before heading over to the cinema next door, where there’s another fun bar to hang out. The film will be playing in Screen 1, where you’ll find me in seat D6 in case you’d like to sit in the same row.
Afterward, we’ll regroup one more time for a little Letterboxd review and post-film discussion before heading home. You can find a full schedule breakdown and addresses below. It should be a really fun night out.
Until then, I’m looking forward to seeing you guys there!
Your buddy,

🟨🎬 BACKROOMS (FILM & SOCIAL)
Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB🚪₪ Through endless, untold rooms, I’ve found my way here… The more they remember me, the less they let me go. And the only thing louder than my heartbeat is the silence.
👋 Hello guys! Let’s meet for this intriguing concept film directed by Kane Parsons. It’s based on his own web series, inspired by the Backrooms Creepypasta—a horror legend that’s been widely shared online. The Backrooms themselves are a fictional location that originated from a 2019 4chan thread, so there are quite a few rabbit holes to go down here.
It’s crazy how many big names are producing this—Osgood Perkins, James Wan, and Shawn Levy, to name a few.
The premise of this A24 expanded supernatural, science fiction, psychological horror—yeah, quite the mouthful—follows a therapist investigating a mysterious, infinite, damp, yellow-walled dimension after a patient disappears through a doorway.
Let’s make this a film and social with plenty to talk about. We’ll start with some predictions and theories, then finish off with our reactions and Letterboxd reviews. I’ll share the final details for our meeting spot as we get closer to the release date, so keep an eye on the page.
Before we all go missing in these rooms…
I'll see you on the other side.

👻🎬 SCARY MOVIE (2026)
Vue Cinema Bromley, Westmoreland Road, Bromley, GB😱 Slapstick horror-comedy spoofs might finally be making a comeback!
👋 Hi guys! We’re gathering once again in Bromley for another hangout and heading back into horror party mode and hopefully reclaiming some of that humour we’ve been missing!
This new instalment, directed by Michael Tiddes and written by the comedy legends the Wayans Brothers, marks the sixth entry in the Scary Movie Series. It serves as a requel—part reboot, part continuation—refreshing the franchise while keeping some continuity intact
For obvious reasons, most of plot details are under wraps but the premise takes place twenty-six years after their first run-in with a masked killer, Cindy and her friends are hunted by another mad slasher.
The film will act as a massive reset requel spoofing a backlog of recent hit movies, pop-culture trends, and viral moments. And of course, this wouldn’t be a proper Scary Movie without Anna Faris, Regina Hall and some other familiar faces returning to the franchise.
We will be gathering for Friday night drinks before we hit the cinema with a film review after that. We'll confirm exact times closer to the date, but expect laughs, chaos, and plenty to chat about after.
See you guys there
