👋 Welcome to The Hideout: London’s most hyperactive social film club, built by horror fans for horror fans, exploring every corner of horror and the darker edge of sci-fi.
This is a home for fearless film lovers, indie creators, and dreamers, who dare to explore the depths of dystopia, drawn to the uncanny worlds of Hitchcock, Kubrick, Carpenter, Craven, Cronenberg, Argento, Lovecraft, and beyond.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema, whether it’s at the Prince Charles Cinema, exciting film festivals, or the BFI,. That means we often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.

👋 Hey guys! The Big Bad Pharma is back, and Zachary Michael Cregger will be your new pharmacist. And of course, this will be under the guidance of the bigger, even badder Umbrella Corporation.
The film will follow a hapless courier tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital. He soon finds himself caught in the middle of an outbreak and must fight through hordes of mutated creatures to survive.

👋 Hi guys! We’re catching up for drinks and hanging out to watch what’s described as a hyper-stylized, neon-drenched dystopian psychological thriller from director Nicolas Winding Refn.
The film stars our new favourite scream queen Sophie Thatcher and follows an actress in futuristic Tokyo and an American G.I. navigating the city’s underbelly, whose paths collide through a mystical serial killer known as the Leather Man. Beneath all the neon-soaked madness, the film serves as a dark metaphor for trauma, toxic patriarchy and the price of fame.

👁️🎬IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS

👋 Hey everyone! If there was ever a horror film about a book that could bring about the end of the world, then this would probably be my ultimate choice. It was directed by the absolute legend that is John Carpenter and like many of this master’s films, this one began life with a struggle at the box office and a rather Marmite reception from critics.
But as always, years later, horror fans rescued it from the gutter, pulled it from obscurity and transformed it into the cult classic it deserves to be today. And in honour of the late, great Sam Neill, this is the perfect time to revisit one of his most wonderfully unhinged performances.
The film follows an insurance investigator searching for a hugely successful horror novelist who has mysteriously disappeared. He soon discovers that the author’s books may actually be rewriting reality itself, as the line between fiction and reality collapses and the world descends into a cosmic nightmare.
The Meetup: We’ll be meeting up 5:00pm for drinks at Joshua’s Tavern, where we’ll chat about your favourite horror novel. Then we’ll head over to the Prince Charles Cinema for the 6:00 pm screening. You’ll find me in seat D14, but feel free to pick your favourite seat.
After the film at around 8:00 pm, we’ll regroup to share our thoughts, discuss what we’ve just witnessed and give it our Letterboxd scores. You’ll also find the full ticket information, cinema address and map down below, so you won’t get lost.
It’s almost as if horror fans sometimes understand the source material better than everyone else.

👋 What's up guys! You know, there are some unique cases where a child may encounter terrifying, maybe even astral, adversarial experiences. But I was a special kid, lol, so let's move swiftly on to Rob Savage's new entry. You may remember him from previous films like Host and The Boogeyman, so he certainly knows his way around our bedrooms.
This film in particular is a supernatural psychological horror that follows an 8-year-old girl facing the ultimate nightmare. A malicious entity emerges from her closet, perfectly mimicking her mum in an attempt to destroy and replace her family. What follows pulls her into a relentless and rather extreme case of identity theft.
Now, as horror aficionados, we've definitely heard some of these plot points before, especially when it comes to creepy entities and childhood fears of things lurking in the closet. So, not exactly new territory. However, this one looks like it could carry something a little different, perhaps throwing us off a little. So let’s check it out and hope for the best. 🤞
